The goal of our Holland Lecture Series is to bring world-class information and insight to our community's discussion of globally important issues. Right now, few subjects are more timely than nuclear proliferation and terrorism, as evidenced by the current debates in the Security Council of the United Nations. Because of the critical importance of this topic, we are most fortunate to have the opportunity to bring Graham Allison, an internationally known authority, to
Omaha
to share his insights with us.
Former Senator Sam Nunn calls Graham Allison “a latter day Paul Revere” because of the importance of his message concerning the rising threat of nuclear terrorism. Dr. Allison is the author of Nuclear Terrorism: The Ultimate Preventable Catastrophe.
Dr. Allison is Douglas Dillon Professor of Government and Director of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. From 1993 to 1994 he was Assistant Secretary of Defense for Policy and Plans in the Clinton administration. For additional biographical and contact information see Harvard University.
